Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz steps down but stays in power | DW News

Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz has resigned. He’s been pressurized over allegations he bribed a paper for favorable coverage just before his election as party leader after which chancellor.

Because he made that announcement on Saturday, Kurz stated he wasn’t involved with any criminal activity. And the man banded aside to avoid a government crisis after his Vegetables coalition partner stated he was unfit to guide the nation. Kurz was likely to face a election of no confidence in parliament in a few days.
