Magnitude 7.0 earthquake hits southwest Mexico | DW News

A effective earthquake that struck southern Mexico on Tuesday night claimed a minumum of one victim and it was felt in Mexico City nearly 322 kilometers (200 miles) away.

The United States Geological Survey reported the earthquake were built with a preliminary magnitude of seven. and it was focused on 11 miles (17 kilometers) north from the popular tourist destination Acapulco.

A minumum of one person died within the condition of Guerrero. Around 1.six million electricity users were impacted by the quake, the Mexican condition power authority, the Comission Federal de Electricidad stated. Lights went within the Roma Sur neighborhood in the middle of Mexico City but there have been no early reports of significant damage within the capital.
